Christmas is a special time of year. Spending time with loved ones and enjoying delicious holiday meals is a staple for many families. Whether that’s attending a special Christmas dinner event, making a reservation for Christmas Eve/Day or having someone local cater the holiday, there’s a way for you to make this Christmas one to remember.
Places with Something Special Planned
Returning this year are two Christmas-themed events at The Whitney in Detroit. First, Supper with Santa is happening on December 10 and 17 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. Enjoy an evening meal with family and Santa! The Whitney’s ala carte menu and kid’s menu will be offered. Reservations must be made over the phone (313-832-5700).

The annual Christmas Tea party is returning to The Whitney on Saturday, December 22 at 12 p.m. Hosted by Mary Jones, Christmas Tea will include holiday music, a special Christmas-themed menu, special guests and presents. Tickets are $75.
St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Parish in Warren will be holding a $10 Christmas dinner on Saturday, December 15 at 5 p.m. Dinner includes roast beef, turkey, stuffing, ham, potatoes, gravy, veggies, dessert and a beverage. Tickets must be purchased in advance (586-757-3306).
Tonia’s Victorian Rose Tea Room & More will be hosting A Christmas Story-themed dinner on Sunday, December 16 at 5 p.m. in Rochester. Attendees will be able to choose one of four dinner options that include meatloaf, turkey potpie, stuffed pepper soup and mac & cheese. Tickets are $21 per person plus tax and gratuity ($15 for kids 8 and under).
This year, The Angel House will be providing a Christmas dinner to 200 people in need, as well as toys for kids and gift cards for adults. Families must call 313-694-3093 to sign up. This will be limited to the first 200 people to register.
